We drove down from Boston to experience the #halal restaurants of NYC and our first stop was the highly rated Nishaan. It did not disappoint. We got there right at lunchtime and were able to grab a few tables although space is limited. Our food was prepared quickly but was incredibly fresh! Elotes chaat was an excellent appetizer. The chapli kabab chopped cheese was to die for and the birria tacos were absolutely sumptuous. Please open a location in Boston!

The chappali kabob chopped cheese sandwich is easily one of the top five sandwiches I’ve ever had. It’s packed with bold flavor and so satisfying that every bite leaves you wanting more. The loaded chaat fries are incredible and pair perfectly with the sandwich. Portions are generous too, and the sandwich is large enough to share.
